What You Will Be Doing

On an Undergraduate Placement within Supply Chain, over twelve months you will be expected to be involved in a number of areas in order to develop a broad understanding of the Procurement Services we are involved with. Working in Procurement enables you to take up a variety of roles to help ensure that we deliver the right products, at the right time, and at the right cost to the required quality. Your role will be varied; ranging from undertaking supplier visits to a more analytical focus of developing procurement strategy.

Duties and Responsibilities

• You’ll ensure that activity delivers value for money through planned and skilful management, typically coordinating supplier selection.
• Subsequent and appropriate management of the supply base (SRM).
• Contract negotiations, placement, and management of all third party requirements in relevant categories/projects.
• You’ll develop relationships with stakeholders and maintain stakeholder maps.
• You’ll also be responsible for producing key reports and presentations to those same stakeholders.

Skills

As a minimum requirement you’ll need to be on track to obtain a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Procurement, Commercial, Business Management, Economics, Engineering, or Law. To be considered for this role you must be returning to university to complete your degree.
