Graduate Land Safety, Health and Environmental Position at BAE Systems

What You Will Be Doing

As a Graduate, you will join our SHE High Hazard team, supporting the SHE Advisors in providing advice to the business on high hazard SHE compliance to ensure SHE legal requirements and an interdependent safety culture can be achieved.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Getting involved in every aspect of SHE, in particular the facilitation and delivery of high hazard, explosive safety, and COMAH activities
  • Monitor SHE performance and the implementation of SHE policies in respect of high hazard, process safety, and COMAH, and participate as directed in the associated SHE Assurance processes.
  • Undertake accident/incident investigation as required
  • Provide guidance to managers, staff, and SHE professionals in respect of high hazard, process safety, and COMAH.
  • Provision of SHE competencies in specialist areas such as Explosives, COMAH, high hazard, and auditing.

Skills and Qualifications

As a minimum requirement, you’ll need to have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a 2.2 in your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety / Process Safety.
