Legal Intern

We are looking for a WO Law student to support the Legal team of Futurewhiz with their day-to-day activities, focusing particularly on privacy-related matters.

Futurewhiz (the maker of learning products Squla, StudyGo, Scoyo, and Studira) is the Dutch market leader in online education for children (Educational Technology - EdTech). On our platforms, more than a million children, parents, and teachers interact. We aim to provide digital, personalized education and learning to enhance children's learning experiences positively and improve their overall confidence.

What will you do during this internship?

During this internship, you will be a part of the Legal team, and you will support the team with various tasks:

• Support with reviewing, negotiating, and drafting commercial contracts
• Performing legal research on various legal matters
• Keeping up to date with policies in the domain of educational technology legislation, data protection laws, intellectual property laws, and children’s rights
• Provide support to perform privacy compliance projects
• Preparing presentations
• Contributing to the day-to-day activities of the legal team in various matters within the EdTech field

Who are you?

You are a proactive person, looking for a chance to develop your skills within the legal sector, and have a keen interest in all legal aspects of a business.

• You are a WO Law student and looking for a legal internship
• Education: at least a bachelor of Law with a focus on private law. A plus would be a focus on privacy law or intellectual property law.
• You are a good communicator both verbally and in writing
• You have strong Dutch and English writing and speaking skills
• You have a proactive, enthusiastic, and open attitude, and are eager to learn new things
• You are flexible, creative, and solution-oriented
• You are available for at least 2 days a week, for at least 4-6 months starting by October 14th, 2024
