Department and Project Context

The Wholesale & Rural (W&R) domain within IT Systems supports the Wholesale and Rural bank globally. W&R is divided into three tribes:

• Markets & Treasury
• Financing
• CBD (Clients, Bankers, and Data services)

Within the Financing Tribe, the Loan Products & Payment area focuses on our core banking. By concentrating on simplified operational processes, data value creation, automation of risk controls, and driving digital innovations, we enhance customer experience, reduce costs and risks, comply with regulations more easily, and increase efficiency and innovation.

Various squads within this area work on:

• Replacing existing local Corporate Banking applications into a single global platform
• Creating an Open Banking Layer

This contributes to W&R’s objective to become a truly client-centric bank. Multiple squads are developing and maintaining the Core Banking Platform, offering an accessible, safe, and future-proof solution with standardized and STP processes at low costs worldwide.

Your Teams: Agency and Lending Squads

You will guide two squads: Agency and Lending, which consist of developers, business analysts, and testers. Tasks include:

• Active guidance and monitoring of the test-process for the Lending squad
• Facilitating and coordinating the implementation process of specific epics for the Agency squad, possibly using Kanban
• Helping squads with Azure and possibly some PMO work initially

Managing dependencies is crucial. The team is diverse in backgrounds, experiences, and cultures, with most communication in English.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrum Facilitation: Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, monitor team progress, and guide squads on self-organization and cross-functionality.
• Collaboration: Foster a culture of collaboration, open communication, and trust within the team and stakeholders.
• Obstacle Removal: Identify and remove impediments to ensure a smooth workflow.
• Continuous Improvement: Encourage continuous improvement by facilitating retrospectives and implementing action items.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with stakeholders to understand priorities and ensure team alignment.

Your Profile

We are looking for a Scrum Master who:

• Has significant experience as a Scrum Master in a financial or related industry within a multicultural environment
• Possesses natural authority, acting as a senior with persuasion power
• Has strong facilitation and communication skills
• Is at least Scrum certified (PSM 1)
• Has in-depth Azure knowledge for relevant job parts
• Has testing knowledge and experience
• Is well-organized and helps structure team work
• Communicates clearly in English
• Has (basic) experience in SQL or Oracle Flexcube (pré)
• Strives to improve themselves, colleagues, and work processes

In addition to a 36-hour working week, you can also expect:

• A gross monthly salary scaled in function group 9
• Up to €90K gross yearly, including all benefits based on a 40-hour work week
• 100% reimbursement of commuting costs by public transport, or a commuting allowance if preferred by car or motorbike
• A pension scheme, with only a 5.5% personal contribution
