At Picnic, we’re revolutionizing the way people buy groceries with our affordable and sustainable app-only service. We do almost everything in-house, developing cutting-edge technologies and processes to ensure we continue to grow rapidly without missing a beat. If you’re a passionate React Native engineer, we’re offering you the opportunity to join the diverse team at our Amsterdam HQ and make a real difference in our scaleup environment.
At Picnic, we use React and React Native alongside each other to provide an innovative service to our colleagues. Our goal is to build a platform that streamlines operations and enhances the user experience for both employees and managers. Our product suite includes React Native mobile apps and React web-based admin consoles, delivering comprehensive tools for managing schedules, tasks, and internal communication.
Why use React Native? To put it simply, using cross-platform technologies enables us to deliver more value to our colleagues, so it’s a no-brainer for us. React Native’s opt-out flexibility offers a seamless escape hatch to Native when needed, allowing us to leverage the best of both worlds.
Why use React? Using a similar technology to the counterpart mobile application, it is easier to ensure a standard across code bases and facilitate the development of both.
And don’t worry, we love type-safety, so all our React and React Native code is written in TypeScript.
