Senior Finance Business Partner

JOB PURPOSE

As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will play a critical role in driving financial strategy and decision-making within the organization. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior management and department heads, providing financial insights, analysis, and guidance to support business growth and profitability. Your primary focus will be on partnering with various business units, understanding their operations, and aligning financial plans with their strategic objectives. You will be responsible for analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and developing actionable recommendations to optimize performance and drive value.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

BUSINESS AND STRATEGY SUPPORT:

  • Provide financial input and coordinate the formulation of robust annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring progress towards their achievement, as well as updates to the multi-year Business Plan.
  • Draw attention to important trends and opportunities to maximize earnings and minimize risk.
  • Responsibility for maintaining the Egg business plan variances against previous business plans and developing future business plans.
  • Provide relevant and analytical financial insight to help in the formulation of business strategy.
  • Support special projects where necessary, such as organic and inorganic business opportunities (including build strategy, wholesale and B2B opportunities as well as M&A).
  • Support the business in driving effective cost and investment management.

BUSINESS PARTNERING:

  • Undertake financial analysis of the business’ monthly performance.
  • Update business heads regularly on performance highlighting opportunities and potential risks.
  • Assist the business in analyzing variance reports and variations from stated strategies at a business and segment level for both financial and non-financial performance measures.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis of new and existing services highlighting the impact on business performance and the risks of such products.
  • Work collaboratively and partner across technical and operational business teams as well as with external stakeholders and advisors.

OPERATIONAL SUPPORT:

  • Review of monthly management reports, including provision of commentary on results for designated business partners.
  • Provide insights with knowledge of Egg’s contract arrangements, and the ability to report on performance against contracts.
  • Support billing data and practices: monitor and analyze billing data (e.g., full / no false inclusion, correct pricing), as well as establishing and monitoring proper billing on an ongoing basis.
  • Support the business in partner performance management: track and analyze data for all workstreams in order to monitor compliance with contracts and monitor billing and payments.
  • Facilitate external and internal audits where necessary.
  • Support all other ad hoc reporting requirements in support of business initiatives.
  • Perform other assigned duties as and when required.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree-level education / relevant professional qualifications.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Solutions-oriented and able to simplify complex matters.
  • Self-sufficient, comfortable with working autonomously as well as in cross-functional teams and proactive in proposing commercial solutions.
  • Strong commercial acumen, together with the ability and credibility to form effective relationships across all levels, including senior levels of management.
  • Strong moral/ethical convictions.

PREFERRED EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree level qualification.
  • ACA / CIMA or equivalent.
  • Strong experience working in the Finance field in a dynamic multinational environment.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Understand financial systems design and internal controls.
  • High attention to detail: highly analytical and pay strong attention to accuracy of reporting.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment, demonstrated track record as a team player.
  • Excellent interpersonal and community relations skills and the ability to communicate and work effectively within a diverse community.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • In-depth working knowledge of computerized accounting systems; proven experience with Microsoft Office suite product.
