The Product Management department is dedicated to planning and executing a sustainable product and technology roadmap for Europe. We focus on developing advanced, fully electric bus and truck series that meet current and future European public transportation market needs. By collaborating with leading European suppliers, our department continually enhances design and engineering capabilities to ensure superior product performance and quality. 🌏

Your key responsibilities are:

  • Product Development: Perform in-depth analysis of the technical aspects and functions of European trucks to guide the development of BYD's new truck models and related technologies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Review new regulations, integrate standards, and establish implementation guidelines for truck products.
  • Technical Solutions: Investigate customer requirements and develop technical solutions to meet their needs.
  • Product Localization: Develop strategies for the localized development of BYD Trucks in Europe.
  • Design Participation: Participate in design evaluations, present design proposals, and assess alternative design solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Vehicle Engineering or a related field. Knowledge of commercial vehicles is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a global business environment, focusing on the design, development, production, and evolution of high-tech products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
  • Demonstrated clear and systematic thinking, strong judgment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the EU.
  • Creative mindset with strong analytical skills.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and standards.

Besides that, BYD has two factories in Europe, one located in Komarom, Hungary, and the other located in Beauvais, France. Electric buses manufactured by those two factories will be exported to customers across continental Europe. It is also in partnership with Alexander Dennis in the UK which assembles jointly developed buses for the UK market.

Up to now, the footprint of BYD electric vehicles covers over 70 major European cities, which will undoubtedly grow in the future.
