Strategy & Corporate Development Director

Company: Wolters Kluwer’s Tax and Accounting Division Location: Europe (with global initiatives) Travel: Up to 25% (mostly Europe)

About the Role

Wolters Kluwer’s Tax and Accounting Division is seeking a Strategy & Corporate Development Director to drive strategic growth initiatives across Europe and globally. This pivotal role involves identifying, evaluating, and pursuing new market strategies, including M&A, partnerships, and new market entries.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Support regional and global business strategy formulation and decision-making. Market Intelligence: Lead market and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decisions. Pipeline Management: Develop and manage M&A pipeline; evaluate potential acquisitions. Due Diligence: Oversee due diligence processes, including financial modeling and information management. Cross-Functional Projects: Lead projects with rigorous project management skills. Mentorship: Informally mentor team members to foster strategic and investment evaluation skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Management, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 6-8+ years in PE, corporate development, management consulting, and/or investment banking.
  • 3+ years in market insights, strategy formulation, and M&A activities.
  • 2+ years in enterprise or B2B software industry.
Preferred:
  • MBA
  • Advanced skills in strategic analysis, financial modeling, and market insight.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI.
