Your Adventure Begins Here:

Assignment 1: Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

For the first period of time, you'll become an integral part of our FP&A team, where you'll develop your competencies in:

Advanced Excel & Power BI Proficiency:

  • Build financial models and dashboards in Power BI to effectively communicate financial information.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions (e.g., XLOOKUP, PivotTables) for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization.

Analytical Skills:

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. (e.g., conduct variance analysis on P&L statements to understand cost drivers or revenue fluctuations)
  • Apply volume/mix/pricing analysis techniques to assess the impact of pricing strategies and product mix on profitability.

Financial Statement Understanding (P&L Focus):

  • Gain a deep understanding of the components of the Profit and Loss statement (P&L) and their interrelationships.
  • Interpret P&L data to assess company performance and profitability

Assignment 2: The JT Group Treasury

Next, you'll transition into our Treasury department, a pivotal unit that ensures the financial stability and liquidity of our global operations. Here, you'll develop:

Cash & Risk management:

  • Develop insight into the cash requirements and cash flows of the Group
  • Understand how to Identify, assess and, if possible, mitigate financial risks

Technical Skills:

Ability to use SAP, the leading Enterprise Resource Planning software, to interrogate transactional data.

Financial Acumen:

Appreciation of financial sources of risk.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Education: HBO, WO, or bachelor’s degree
  • Analytical Mindset: Enthusiastic about working with data and performing analyses
  • Curiosity and Collaboration: Eager to learn about FP&A and Treasury activities, and enjoy collaborating with various disciplines
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English
  • Experience: No experience is required, though up to 2 years of experience is a plus
