As a Procurement Coordinator, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing contracts with logistics services providers (i.e. ocean freight, rail, trucking, maintenance & repair, cleaning, storage) to support our business across Americas. You will be assigned to specific categories and geographic regions, but to be part of our team you must be a generalist and hands-on, ready to take over different categories according to the business needs and market conditions.

You secure existing and future needed capacity against the lowest integral supply chain costs, and working pro-actively towards sustainable results with the suppliers embedding high safety, quality and operational performance.

Procurement activities are mostly developed on tactical (up to one year) and operational levels (daily), so this professional must be able to handle urgencies without losing sight of medium-term objectives.


Your main areas of responsibilities are:
Contract Negotiation & Supplier network Identify and evaluate potential logistics services providersLead, drive and execute negotiations with service suppliers, on both contract and spot basisBuild and maintain long-term win-win relationships with suppliersBe the escalation point to resolve service issues with logistics suppliers when necessary.Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concernsProject Management & Process Improvement Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure adherence of services to business needsLead procurement projects in order to deliver process improvements and saving opportunities, challenge the status quo. Contract Management & Administration Actively manage and control contracts, SLA’s and other relevant documents.Take care of the administrative procurement processes and registration of contract data in the Transport Management System (Transfusion).Ensure compliance with local regulations and Den Hartogh standardsAnalysis & reporting Provide analysis of the market developments and trends.Analyze and compare costs from different logistics vendorsCalculate, track and report the results of negotiationsRequirements for the position:Bachelor’s degree Fluency in English, Spanish is a plusProven experience with pricing / cost structure of logistics services (services, terms, surcharges, main players in each market)Negotiation and contract management skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excel is a must, Power BI is a plusStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
