As a Cash & Credit Control Specialist, you play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and stability of Rituals. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to implement efficient processes will contribute to effective cash management and credit control, ultimately supporting the Rituals financial objectives.

Overview:

As a Cash & Credit Control Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the financial transactions of the organization, ensuring accurate recording of cash inflow and outflow, and maintaining proper credit control measures. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a strong understanding of financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Management:

  • Monitor daily cash transactions, including cash receipts and disbursements.
  • Reconcile cash receipts and deposits to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain petty cash funds and reconcile petty cash transactions regularly.
  • Process cash flow forecasts to ensure sufficient funds are available for operational needs.

Credit Control:

  • Evaluate credit worthiness of customers and establish credit limits.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts.
  • Coordinate with sales and customer service teams to resolve payment discrepancies and disputes.
  • Initiate collection actions for delinquent accounts, including sending reminders and initiating legal proceedings if necessary.
  • Review and approve credit applications and credit terms for new customers.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare periodic financial reports related to cash flow, receivables, and credit control for management review.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and make recommendations for improving petty cash and credit management processes.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify inefficiencies in cash handling and credit control processes and propose solutions for improvement.
  • Implement best practices to streamline cash management and credit control procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new systems or software to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures related to cash handling and credit management.
  • Stay updated on relevant accounting standards and regulations affecting cash and credit transactions.
  • Assist in internal and external audits related to cash and credit control.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Proven experience in cash management, credit control, or related financial roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Preferred is knowledge and/or experience in Microsoft Dynamics D365
