As a Purchase Manager, you will work with well-known brands in categories such as confectionery or spirits. As a new addition to the team, you will be responsible for your own procurement area. In this role, you will attend 2-3 (international) trade fairs annually and travel to suppliers within Europe. There will be a lot on your plate. It will be your task to manage priorities and meet deadlines. You will collaborate closely with the Fulfilment, Sales, Finance, and Marketing departments to keep the entire process running smoothly. Additionally, you will add new suppliers to your portfolio.

What will you be doing?

  • You will determine the strategy for your product-market combination. You will have the autonomy to choose suppliers and handle negotiations.
  • You will maintain contact with existing suppliers and expand your network by building new relationships. Initially, you will have a lot of digital and telephone communication, but eventually, foreign trips will also be part of your agenda.

You have a commercial mindset, you are entrepreneurial, and you enjoy thinking outside the box. Your motivation is to grow rapidly and learn as much as possible within your team. You achieve this by asking many questions and conducting independent research. You thrive on pushing boundaries and continuously challenging yourself!

You:

  • Have a completed commercial education, at least at HBO level.
  • Have gained approximately 3-5 years of experience in a commercial role.
  • Are proficient in Excel and possess strong numerical skills.
  • Have international experience.
  • Have excellent command of the English language and preferably of the Dutch language. Proficiency in an additional language is a plus.

  • A maximum salary of € 4.909,- in line with your experience, plus a yearly fixed Christmas bonus and a performance dependent bonus
  • Initially, a one-year contract with the prospect of permanent employment
  • 25 vacation days, with the possibility to purchase additional days
  • A travel allowance of up to 75 km on single trip travel when working at the office, or an allowance if you’re working remotely (from home)
  • The flexibility to work 1 day a week from home
