Your Mission

As a Junior Financial Controller at Omnia, you’ll be the heartbeat of our financial team. Imagine a role where you’re not just crunching numbers but shaping the financial backbone of a cutting-edge tech company. Your week will be an exciting mix of collaborating with the Head of Finance, managing daily financial operations, and syncing with our German counterparts to ensure precision in our processes. From reconciling bank statements to month-end closings, your impact will be felt company-wide.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Ensuring accurate and timely recording of daily and monthly financial transactions

• Reconciling bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable

• Managing debtors and creditors

• Participating in month-end and year-end closing processes

• Maintaining and improving financial systems and processes

• Collaborating with other departments to gather financial information and provide support

• Assisting in implementing new financial tools or software as needed

• Completing VAT and other filings

Who You Are

You are a proactive problem solver with a strong analytical mind and attention to detail. Your organizational and time-management skills are top-notch, and you communicate effectively with team members and other departments. You are tech-savvy, comfortable with financial systems and Excel, and eager to learn and develop in the finance field.

Your Toolbox

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

• Fluent in English (the business language of Omnia), proficiency in Dutch or German is a plus

• 1-3 years of experience as a Financial Controller, Accountant, or Financial Administrator, preferably in a dynamic, technology-driven environment

• Good understanding of financial principles and accounting practices

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Familiarity with financial software (ExactOnline, Basecone & PowerBI) is a plus

• Hands-on experience in managing financial administration, including bookkeeping, debtor and creditor management, VAT statements, financial reporting, and analysis is a plus
