About the team

In this position you will join the Thales Netherlands Real Estate & Facility Management (RE-FM) team. The RE-FM team is responsible for the following areas:

  • Real Estate: holds a portfolio of 20 owned industrial and office buildings on Hengelo site and 15 leased buildings or floors in other locations. In Hengelo the High-Tech Systems Park is under development.
  • Facility Management: manages facility services demand and supply at strategic level, with operations outsourced to partners.
  • Health, Safety and Environment (HSE): Provides a safe and healthy working environment both in our plants and on external worksites. Besides that we preserve the environment by limiting the impacts (energy, climate, natural resources,…) and by minimizing the risks of pollution;
  • Office Management: our team of Service Point and Management Assistants is supporting the business in the best possible way.
  • Security (CSM): the country security team is in charge of the security of our facilities. Prevention and awareness are their most effective important instruments.
  • Travel Management: the Travel Manager is responsible for local Travel Policy, monitoring policy and budgets, communication with Travel Agent, Office Management, Travelers, Security Officer, implementation of new booking too

About your future job

Within Thales, the demand for workplaces and future needs comes from the organization; our department takes care of the supply. The Project Manager takes an important role in our ambition to ensure long-term satisfaction of our customers. In a multi-disciplined function you will be the linking pin between the business and its demands and the operations organization. You will have close contact with various internal stakeholders such as the demand manager of Naval, mid and long-term planning, floor managers and the IT-department. The Project Manager coordinates the way we work in our buildings and the allocation of workplaces. You will be involved in several projects and have a facilitating role towards the organization.

In your job you will anticipate on the needs of the business and think on a tactical and strategic level. As part of your job you will be overseeing the big picture and you will help to take our team to the next level. Together with the rest of the team, you are responsible for long-term plans, such as in the field of efficiency improvements.

You will also take part in projects, such as the creation of one front office.

Additionally, you will be the process owner of the allocation of workplaces and other specialties in our housing concept. An important goal is to work towards an activity-based housing concept for our offices in Hengelo.

  • You have completed an HBO/WO level education or operate on the equivalent level;
  • You preferably have some experience in project management;

  • You are a great networker and you stand your ground in conversations with colleagues of all levels
  • You are punctual, driven and independent;
  • Because of your enthusiasm and personality, you are able to bring change;
  • You have strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing and have a proficiency level of the English language (spoken and written);
  • And last but not least, you are a real team player.
