About the team

The Project Management Office (PMO) provides resources, support, knowledge and coaching to the customer and product project management team to ensure a better performance along the project lifecycle. At this moment the PMO department making steps forward to increase the maturity. So the PMO department will beating the rhythm on the project milestones and will serve Thales Naval by providing the expertise, know-how, services and continuously striving to increase the data quality to ensure a better performance along project lifecycle in one predictable way with clear awareness and reliable insight on cost, time and quality.

About your future job

Within this role, you are responsible for one or multiple projects and you have day-to-day reporting responsibilities to your project managers. You are managing project data and ensuring the Thales NL systems accurately reflect the current state so that problems can be anticipated and the project can be managed as effectively as possible.

In addition to being responsible for schedule accuracy, you are also tracking risks, cost variances, and any other KPIs that will aid transparency on project progress. With your skills, experience and personality, you will be able to connect people, challenge the project office team and the project managers in achieving the agreed deliverables. Moreover, you act as the sparring partner of the Project Manager.

The main tasks are:

  • Design and maintain a closed network schedule upon the milestones including coordination of the resources and budgets;
  • Able to deliver all PMO-tasks to support the project (e.g. PERT, Risk & Opportunity management, Project Control, Training & Coaching);
  • Track all internal and external milestones for the project and the events they are dependent on;
  • Identifying the deliverables, contents and follow them through the project with rescheduling as necessary;
  • Deliver metrics and analyses to the Project Manager to aid effective project management; pro-actively support the Project Manager and Work Package Manager in reaching the agreed deliverables;
  • Performing various analyzes, calculations and cost consolidations (e.g. EAC validation, Earned Value Management, SPI/CPI, KPIs).

  • Completed a Bachelor;
  • Soft/interpersonal skills and team player;
  • Experience with project planning and scheduling in a planning tool (e.g. Primavera);
  • Pro-active, accurate and analytical and solution oriented;
  • Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English;
  • Preferable IPMA D (or other) certified.
