PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate multiple projects and programs to support business objectives and assist project managers in the coordination and completion of projects.
  • Create, review and/or maintain project plans, timelines, databases and other supporting tools to track and report progress of key deliverables.
  • Identify, schedule and coordinate project and program meetings, deliverables, milestones and required tasks.
  • Track progress vs. plan, and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Create reports; maintain and update data; and create and maintain process documentation as needed for each project. Update and maintain internal systems as needed.
  • Create and establish project tracking metrics and reporting to ensure timely and on budget completion.
  • Prepare reports for management and staff. May present reports to management and staff.
  • Confer with various cross functional staff to outline tasks in the work plan.
  • Communicate project progress via reports, routine updates and business meetings.
  • Communicate project results which may include new reports and/or processes for the business.
  • Work closely with the management team and the functional leaders to analyze, report, and drive the critical projects, plans, events and action items through to completion.
  • Provide key support in coordinating and/or executing planned events, programs, field travel, etc.
  • Identify, create and establish standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
  • Work with teams to identify and develop process improvements.
  • Audit documentation to ensure compliance with IDEXX processes and ISO standards, if applicable.
  • Assist in developing training requirements, training new enhancements and conduct training sessions as necessary.
  • May assist and/or lead smaller, basic projects and/or programs.

EDUCATION:

Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Bachelors degree or equivalent preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong computer skills - MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Database/Access experience preferred
  • Ability to devise tracking systems and efficient reporting
  • Ability to learn to update internal website
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and follow-up
  • Ability to multitask
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective project administration skills and/or task management skills. Project management skills a plus.
  • Self-starter
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to interface effectively with individuals from multiple departments at multiple levels.
  • Ability to deliver trainings and presentations
  • Ability to work independently, as a team member, and as a team leader
  • Ability to develop standards and practices within discipline

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • May require limited travel
