Solution Architect Data Logistics

You work in a team that is responsible for the data logistics solution in the lending domain. Information regarding all credits & lending flow through our solutions. We therefore face many diverse challenges. There are multiple legacy systems but the focus is on developing and maintaining our modern data warehouse and definition factory. This data warehouse is foundational for the accountability chain towards regulators. Key aspects here are completeness, correctness, lineage and timeliness. Furthermore, our system contributes to realizing a number of important business cases for the Rabobank. Innovation on both source and target side result in an increasingly dynamic and challenging environment. Rabobank embarked in an ambitious Cloud journey with the Enterprise Data Lake, and we, as a team are taking a central role to enable these goals within Area Data Models Analytics and Calculations (DMAC). As a Solution Architect you can make the difference by: Developing and propagating a vision for IT solutions in the data logistics field. You have a strong focus on data warehouse automation. Your vision is built upon the developments within the bank, the technology and the markets. You can translate the vision into an active and relevant contribution of the IT roadmap. Translating the business architecture into effective, sustainable technical solutions within the given scope while respecting the guidelines. This is where you excel in most! Ensuring that work is carried out in compliance to solution architecture guidelines and that any deviation is approved and recorded. Cultivating relationships among architects, partners and customers and business analysts who have similar information needs and manages those relationships to assure effective solutions. Mentor and train key stakeholders, architects, and team members on data integration architecture. Demonstrated ability to work across multi-disciplined teams to understand and validate business requirements and design data integration solutions. Assisting and providing direction to co-workers in using new techniques and in solving their more complex technical problems. You challenge the teams to think along and find the best solution while supporting them with your knowledge and experience, helping them to take ownership over IT solutions. Acting as a point of contact for the design issues that arise. This concerns both the further design of the platform and the way in which the data is modeled and enriched. Constantly looking for improvements in the technology used, where automation of the environment is central. Able to take on multiple projects concurrently and manage changes in scope along the way. Role & Key Responsibilities Architect, Design and contribute towards implementation of Big Data Solutions on MS Azure using ADLS, ADF, Azure Databricks, Azure Devops and related services Work with Business Architects, support and participate in presenting as well as approval of technical solutions, blueprints, patterns and overall architecture and design in central forums like Architecture Review Board Technology Consulting – Platform and Tooling/Services comparison, down-selection, Operational cost comparison and analysis. Guide Engineering and DevOps Teams on Technical aspects and Best Practices With each other Collaboration lays deep in our DNA. You, as a Solution Architect, work in a team of approx. 55 persons having different roles and expertise among which: Business Analysts Software Engineers (development & test) Operations Engineers DBA’s Your Talent Customer focus, collaboration and persuasiveness are essential competences for a Solution Architect. You meet the following requirements regarding knowledge and experience: bachelors level degree in information technology proven ability to act as a Solution Architect in a complex chain environment for combined business and IT implementation teams proven experience in IT (data) architecture principles and improving the continuity of IT services Platforms, Tools & Technologies– Azure (Cloud), Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks. Experience in implementing solutions with sound security practices as well as aligned to privacy principles. Value-Add Experience Experience and competence on any RDBMS like Oracle and reporting/BI tools like PowerBI Experience with design and implementation of ETL/ELT framework for complex warehouses/marts Familiarity with Data Warehousing Automation Tools (like WhereScape), logging, alerts, and infrastructure set up Experience building modern solutions (data streaming based, cloud-based) Exposure to Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Management techniques and practices experience in translating regulatory requirements (BCBS-239) to IT solutions supporting our business. good understanding of IT security and monitoring principles.
