As Deputy Project Manager Land Based Training Facilities, you will be responsible for the execution of a to be determined part of a new built land-based Navy training facility. This includes all engineering, manufacturing and supply chain activities needed to finalize within the sub project scope within, quality standards, budget, and timelines. The training facility consist of ship simulation stations, ship’s equipment, and maintenance training facilities. As Deputy Project Manager Land Based Training Facilities, you will be: Responsible for the execution of a medium size project within agreed schedules, quality standards and cost constraints. Managing the project planning including the resource planning. Responsible for the project's people management. Develop and execute a project plan, monitoring progress against set targets and taking proactive actions to meet the targets. Liaising with external stakeholders such as the customer representatives, co-makers, and suppliers. Responsible for trials. testing. and commissioning of naval vessels. Ensuring full compliance to all applicable requirements and specifications. Responsible for the proper follow-up on warranty claims during the warranty period. Representing the company to customers and related professional associations and is responsible for a good working relation with the customer. As Deputy Project Manager Land Based Training Facilities, you need to have: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline supplemented with an IPMA C or comparable certification. Extensive Project Management experience acquired in complex international (shipbuilding) projects with multi-site manufacturing environments preferable in the defense or security industry. Knowledge of and experience with financial management and wider management principles and techniques. Experience in building coalitions, internally and with other (inter)national Damen entities and/or external suppliers to achieve common goals. Good command of English and German language (written and verbal). Ability to frequently travel and work in the North of Germany and Vlissingen the Netherlands. Competences: customer orientation, teamwork, results orientation, coaching, planning, and organizing, behavioural flexibility quality orientation leadership adaptability and stress tolerance. Excellent references antecedents as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
