Your job

This role is for a Risk Management Specialist in the 1st Line of Defence of Corporate Banking (CB), responsible for enabling the business in maintaining their License to Operate (LtO). We do this by managing CB’s adherence to the non-financial risk framework/policies and execution of the different risk instruments. This includes amongst others maintaining an effective Risk Control Framework within CB, performing and steering Monitoring, Control & Testing (MC&T) activities and ensuring a well-functioning Issue Management & Action Tracking (IMAT) and Risk Event Management (REM) process. While performing these activities you will find yourself both as a liaison and challenger for and between the other CB 1st line teams (e.g. ABF, CC, CIC, FS, Markets, UK) and 2nd (e.g. I&ORM, Compliance) & 3rd line (Audit) stakeholders. Your key insights will be of direct added value in ensuring CB to remain in control of its LtO. First line risk reporting is instrumental in this, just as having constructive dialogues with relevant stakeholders as part of our 1st line oversight role of non-financial risk management of CB. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in safeguarding our operations and adhering to ever changing regulatory standards and internal policies.

Working environment

As a Non-Financial Risk Specialist you will become part of the Risk Control team which consists of 7 risk professionals. Risk Control is part of the wider Risk Oversight, Control & Regulations team (also called ROCR) and is organized within the Processes & Control (P&C) department of CB. At P&C you are joined by colleagues from Business Process Management and Client Integrity. Together we oversee all first line non-financial risks & control activities, ensuring the integrity of Corporate Banking’s risk taxonomy and supporting flawless business operations. The department consists of approximately 35 professionals. Being sustainably in control is what drives us and we support CB to achieve its strategic objectives. We have a very diverse team and next to working hard also have a lot of fun. We frequently organize knowledge sharing sessions to grow but also to unwind together with drinks!
