Overview: We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with expertise in Azure cloud services and a strong understanding of the foreign exchange (FX) financial markets to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our technology infrastructure to support FX trading operations, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security of our trading platforms and systems. As a DevOps Engineer specializing in Azure, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to streamline development, deployment, and monitoring processes, enabling efficient and resilient FX trading operations. Responsibilities: Azure Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or similar tools. Architect highly available and scalable solutions leveraging Azure services such as Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure SQL Database, and Azure Networking. Automate the provisioning, configuration, and scaling of Azure resources, including containers, databases, and networking components. Ensure infrastructure deployments are secure, scalable, and compliant with best practices and organizational standards. Work to continuously identify areas of improvement in tooling, automation, and technologies and help to implement those improvements. The following tools are used as part of DevOps engineering role: GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, Terraform, Helm, Artifactory, and Python CI/CD Pipeline Implementation: Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools to automate software builds, testing, and deployment processes. Integrate automated testing suites, code analysis tools, and security scanning tools into CI/CD pipelines to ensure the quality and security of trading software releases. Implement blue-green deployments and canary releases strategies to minimize downtime and risk during deployments. Continuously improve CI/CD workflows to optimize build times, reduce deployment errors, and increase release velocity. Monitoring and Alerting: Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting solutions using Datadog, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics to proactively identify and address performance issues, anomalies, and security threats. Configure custom dashboards and reports to provide real-time visibility into the health and performance of FX trading systems and infrastructure. Configure alerts and notifications to proactively identify and respond to performance issues, security threats, and other incidents. Respond promptly to incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences. Analyze monitoring data to identify trends, optimize resource utilization, and improve system reliability. Security and Compliance: Implement robust security controls and compliance measures to protect sensitive financial data and ensure regulatory compliance in Azure environments. Configure network security groups, encryption at rest and in transit, and identity and access management (IAM) policies to safeguard FX trading systems and data. Collaborate with compliance and risk management teams to conduct regular audits, assessments, and penetration tests to maintain a secure and compliant trading environment. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document architecture designs, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure operational continuity. Provide training and support to development, operations, and support teams on Azure best practices, tools, and processes relevant to FX trading operations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred. Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Azure cloud technologies. Strong proficiency in Azure services, including compute, networking, storage, databases, and security. Understanding of forex trading operations, financial market data feeds, and trading platforms. Hands-on experience with Datadog, Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure SQL Database, Azure Networking, and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Ansible Expertise in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools. Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Azure Kubernetes Service). Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
