Are you able to combine that with assertiveness, pioneering spirit and curiosity? We are looking for a Project(s) Capex Controller for our office in Delft.

Your role

You will be a vital part of the Finance Business Partnering department, focusing on controlling of the company's largest capital projects. The role includes the projects’ business cases preparation, project schedule maintenance while acting as the ‘financial conscience’ of the project team by setting-up, reporting, analysing and forecasting of project results. As part of a cross-functional team you will collaborate closely with business to realise value maximisation.

The Finance Business Partnering team consists of 9 finance-business experts who work in an inclusive and collaborative atmosphere. You will report to Manager Finance Business Partnering, who is located at our head office in Châtel-Saint-Denis, Switzerland.

Your main business partners will be engineers from the Innovations (R&D) and Technical Department, including Project Managers and the Vice-President Innovations, the Vice-President Operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing insightful analytics and developing business cases with data-based insights to support business in decision-making;
  • Steering financial cycles (budget, forecast, actuals) on major CAPEX projects in close collaboration with project management;
  • Defining project structure, allocation of the budget and controlling at budget owner and project management level;
  • Preparing a monthly cash flow forecast;
  • Analysing and explaining budget deviations on a monthly basis;
  • Co-ordinating project planning activities for complex investment projects;
  • Providing day to day finance and administrative support to your project teams;
  • Challenging the status quo, identifying and implementing cost and cash effectiveness initiatives to optimize business results.

What we expect from you

You are committed and accurate while at the same time flexible and open to new input and ideas. You are eager to learn, critical and continually look for improvements in the end-to-end process.

You have:

  • BSc degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field. Master’s degree is preferred;
  • Minium 3 years proven experience as a Cost/CAPEX Controller or similar role, particularly within large-scale project, preferably in an offshore environment;
  • Good communications skills;
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial software;
  • Proficiency or high interest in big data management, interpretation and visualisation (experience in PowerBi);
  • Fluent in English is a must, and Dutch is preferred;
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for short-term business trips.
