Our e-commerce business is booming and growing - our customers can currently reach Rituals.com throughout EU, USA, CN and HK and we’re expanding globally and also on marketplaces like Amazon.com.

Rituals is looking for an enthusiastic data science intern to join the Supply Chain E-commerce team at our beautiful Head Office in Amsterdam. During this internship you are a part of the Supply Chain E-commerce team which is responsible for coordinating daily fulfilment operations of our global Omni-Channel orders and projects for improving e-commerce services. In collaboration with our external logistic providers, we are shipping thousands of parcels, every day, across the world.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate
  • with the Supply Chain E-commerce team to understand the current forecasting methods and improve them using your data science knowledge.
  • Collect
  • , clean, and analyse data relevant to e-commerce sales, customer behaviour, market trends, and other factors influencing demand.
  • Experiment
  • and implement ML models to forecast e-commerce demand accurately, considering various variables and external factors.
  • Evaluate
  • the performance of forecasting models and iteratively refine them to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Develop
  • together with IT tooling to effectively share your (improved) forecast to in- and external stakeholders, e.g. external logistic providers.

YOUR INGREDIENTS

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Strong proven programming skills in languages such as Python, R, SQL or similar languages, with experience in data manipulation, analysis, and machine learning libraries (e.g. TensorFlow).
  • Familiarity with statistical techniques and forecasting methods, including time series analysis, regression, and machine learning algorithms.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiasm for leveraging Machine Learning and AI to solve real-world business challenges in the e-commerce domain.
  • Prior experience with e-commerce operations, supply chain management, or retail analytics is a plus but not required.
