ABOUT THE ROLE:
In this role you will manage the procurement activities for the relevant category/sub-category(ies) within your Cluster, following Global Category strategies and identified alternatives if required. This role has the following main dimensions:Manage the initiatives within the Cluster for identified sub-categories

  • Participate in financial planning and deliver benefits/value within the perimeter of action
  • Drive cost optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Apply Category Management principles, and
coordinate implementation plans as per Cluster directionsEnsure business connectivity and foster collaborative business partnerships with specific stakeholdersManage Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) in full coordination with Cluster and Category directionsRole model in compliance and ethicsAct as Global Indirect Procurement ambassadors in the home location.

RESPONSIBILITIES- WHAT WILL YOU DO?

In this position, you will:

  • be responsible for procurement activities of the assigned business sub-category(ies) within your Cluster. Roll out appropriate strategies set forth by the Cluster Category Manager, and provide sound direction for assigned sub-category(ies) as well as ensure close collaboration with all associated stakeholders.
  • apply Category Management principles, and support the development and implementation of the local procurement plan as per Cluster directions.
  • work in close collaboration with Cluster Category Manager to provide Cluster insights during Global Strategy definition and ensure that the supplier list is managed efficiently & effectively.
  • participate in financial planning and deliver benefits/value within your perimeter of action
  • identify and manage the local/Cluster supplier pool. Negotiate strategic contracts and ensure optimum and sustainable supply conditions. Recommend timely strategic decisions where relevant to prevent procurement inefficiencies.
  • ensure security of supply and effective SRM throughout the supply chain, challenging status quo, proposing and running projects that added-value.
  • manage SRM in full coordination with Global/Regional/Cluster directions. Supports building of innovative & sustainable strategy with local suppliers and promotes any idea that could represent a competitive advantage for JTI.
  • lead and/or support supplier bidding processes in close cooperation with respective business partners to ensure the best combination of quality, cost, and service conditions for goods and services are attained.
  • ensure business connectivity and foster collaborative business partnerships with specific stakeholders. Demonstrate the value of business partnership by developing a customer-oriented approach and aligning strategy with key business partners ensuring it meets business priorities
  • conduct supply risk assessments, build contingency plans, find alternative ideas, solutions in securing the best conditions for JTI including extensive market research and proactive sourcing of innovative suppliers

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • University degree, preferably in Finance/ Supply Chain / Procurement
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar environment in a multinational company
  • Fluent English, other languages are an asset
  • Strategic thinking.
