Product Manager Data Governance Platform

Being in control of our data depends on our governance platform services which are used across Rabobank, globally.

You and your job

You are part of a team of Product Managers responsible for data and analytics governance platform services used across Rabobank. These services cover data quality management, metadata management, data lineage, reference data, and data protection. The services we provide help data owners across Rabobank to comply with the global standard on data management. You are dedicated to improve the platform features based on an excellent understanding of both the data management standards and of our users needs.

Practical Examples

• Collect data lineage from the different systems across the bank and making this metadata visible in a user-friendly way in the governance platform.
• Implement data quality management (e.g. data issue management) processes used across Rabobank.
• Enable data modelling for the different systems across the bank and standardize the way-of-working.
• Make sure reference data is managed and distributed across the different systems across the Rabobank.
• Empower the entire organization to govern their data.

Top 3 responsibilities

• Lead one or two data governance feature squads.
• Engage with users to collect and understand feedback to improve functionality and the ease of use of the services.
• Collaborate with data owners, product owners and squads across the bank to implement or connect data governance services.

Our team, Area Governance Platform, is part of the Tribe Global Data & Analytics Platform and currently consists of 4 enthusiastic Product Managers. The team is responsible for delivering the various data governance tools which form an overall platform. We do this together with 5 IT DevOps teams (consisting mainly of business analysts and platform engineers). Working together is the way we work; as 1 passionate, result driven, diverse team at Rabobank.

You and your talent

• Strong analytical skills- academic background (Bachelor or Master degree)
• Experience in product management or similar (min 2 years).
• Knowledge and experience in the field of data management (min 2 years).
• Driven to achieve the desired results that are of value for our internal customers.
• Communicator that connects easily with others, builds relationships and is skilled in stakeholder management.

This is what we offer you

• A 36-hour work week with a gross monthly salary in scale 9 (€4292 – €6130) or scale 10 (€5.115 – €7307) depending on your experience.
• Extra budget of 11% of your gross salary to be used at your discretion. Buy extra holiday hours, add more to your pension savings or ask for part of the extra budget to be paid out.
• Thirteenth month's salary and 8% holiday allowance.
• A personal development budget of € 1,400.
• A pension scheme to which you contribute 3,5% or 5,5%.
• Hybrid working: we work 1 or 2 days a week from the office.
