A key player in Global Sourcing in driving Sourcing’s vision to be the Most Agile, Most Competitive, Most Digitalized & Cleanest Supply Base in the industry. Facilitate the seasonal costing process to achieve sustainable and competitive cost for sourcing adidas products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and interpret economic trends and government policy change information that impact Labour & Overhead framework. Guide Global Sourcing offices and supplier teams to optimize landed costs and ensure cross-divisional alignment.
  • Prepare and own seasonal supplier negotiations for Global source base (analyze macroeconomic developments, supplier specific cost drivers and efficiency plans).
  • Manage seasonal routine of a systematic product costing regime and provide key input and assist Costing teams for negotiation purposes.
  • Provide costing leadership with insights on cost driver developments and supplier competitiveness using systematic costing and benchmarking methods, to enable fact-based decision making on future Sourcing Allocation.
  • Maintain and update Costing related information in relevant data bases and development systems on a seasonal basis, communicate to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare seasonal and ad hoc reports to the Costing and Negotiation manager with key insights into cost driver developments.
  • Proactively upskill on industry and costing relevant knowledge, embrace information-sharing to leverage learnings.
  • Work closely with other functional areas within Liaison Offices (LOs) and in Head Offices (HQ), ensuring all departments and functional areas work together to achieve adidas' overall objectives.
  • Participate in discussions with Product Operations (POPs) and Sourcing counterparts to continuously identify opportunities and synergies to standardize cross-Divisional analytics and develop new capabilities; and customize where necessary.
  • Role model leadership to foster a culture of Diversity Equity & Inclusion that strives for an inclusive workplace.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of Sourcing industry, specializing in product costing, product development or production
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving, solution and customer-oriented
  • Strong project and change management skills
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, influencing, people and communication skills
  • Ability to think critically and provide different perspectives
  • Ability to work independently and drive results
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Strong Microsoft office skills
