In the role of Material Coordinator Lifting & Rigging equipment offshore Energy you will support our projects in the preparation and execution phase where it concerns the preparation of mobilizations and the set-up storage structures on projects. This position is based at Rotterdam warehouse and our Gorinchem office including occasional visiting project mobilization and de-mobilization site(s).

You will be in charge of maintaining, inspection and mobilization off the Lifting & Rigging equipment inventory to the project(s) and organizing the eventual demobilization to our warehouse. You will work directly with the Equipment Asset Manager Lifting & Rigging Equipment for our Foundation – WTG department, as well as the Offshore Energy project teams, and Van Oord logistics/purchasing colleagues.

Your responsibilities

You are the Point of contact for project team (on/offshore) to provide required information related to tracking and tracing of Lifting & Rigging equipment equipment. You will organize maintenance and inspection with respect to the Offshore Energy Lifting & Rigging stock and execution of periodical stock check through Cycle Counts/Wall to Wall counts.Next to that:

  • Oversee Lifting & Rigging inspection, certifying & handling incoming materials;
  • Arranging of Lifting & Rigging equipment transportation from and to location;
  • Align with Lifting & Rigging equipment asset manager, and subcontractor how to take care of proper storage of project materials, under the required conditions;
  • Assisting and guidance of Lifting & Rigging equipment offshore subcontractor with updating Lifting & Rigging equipment portal;
  • Monitor, inspect and register purchased or rented Lifting & Rigging equipment material deliveries.

Job requirements

  • At least 3 years' work experience in a similar role, preferably with an project organization;
  • Knowledge of shipping terms and transport documents;
  • Experience with Lifting & Rigging equipment;
  • Experience with Microsoft software (Excel/Word/Teams/Outlook);
  • Good command of written and spoken Dutch and English;
  • Familiarity with logistics-related matters such as trade and customs compliance, hazardous goods and Inco terms.
