Your responsibilities

  • To lead the site Environmental & Sustainability programme, ensuring compliance against Legal, Local & Reckitt Environmental Standards.
  • Identify and lead site initiatives to deliver E&S improvements to support the site delivery against the 2025 & 2030 Reckitt Global Sustainability Targets.
  • Develop a continuous improvement culture and understanding of E&S to help deliver improvements, through communication, training, workshops and establishing best practice.
  • Demonstrate expertise and provide guidance for the site by staying up to date on legislation, identifying best practice opportunities from other organisations and external sources.
  • Be responsible for all Environment & Sustainability activities which take place across site. Conduct self-assessments, audits & health checks to ensure non-compliance is identified and corrected in a timely manner.
  • Develop robust procedures and processes to work alongside the site Environmental Management System.
  • Working as part of the site Engineering Cross Functional Team leading the site monthly updates on E&S. Covering compliance, audit status, Energy, Waste & Water KPI’s, Communication & Training.
  • Ensure the site remains compliant both legally & against Reckitt Global Environmental Standards on E&S. Where non-compliance is identified a remediation plan is identified, communicated and actioned.
  • Conduct self-assessments, audits and health checks periodically to identified any areas of risk or non-compliance which can be addressed prior to any internal or external audit.
  • Develop robust procedures and processes to ensure delivery of the site Environment Master Plan (EMS).
  • Prepare and lead E&S audits for the site.

The experience we're looking for

  • 3-5 years experience in a FMCG operation, preferably in a “high care” environment such as pharmaceutical, healthcare or food.
  • Project management experience in same / similar environment.
  • Knowledge and application of UK regulatory standards.
  • Knowledge and application of ISO14001, OHSAS18001 ISO9001 standards.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging operations and facilities

The skills for success

  • Either Degree in Engineering or related subject with 3-5 years experience in industry
  • Desirable qualification of Practitioner Member of IEMA (PIEMA) or equivalent
  • Certified in IEMA Environmental Management or equivalent
  • Demonstrable experience leading programs and activities across cross-functional areas
