As a Robot Welder at AWL you are an expert in the field of joining techniques and work on a project basis in multidisciplinary project teams. You are responsible for delivering and optimizing automated joining processes in accordance with customer and quality requirements. You apply your knowledge and experience by setting equipment parameters and optimizing robot movements. You are naturally curious and not afraid to learn new techniques. In addition, your duties include:
– Adjusting the geometry of the finished product within the set requirements; – Perform work both internally and at external customer sites; – Maintaining contact with the customer when it comes to the set requirements.

In this position you will be working in a Business Unit consisting of +/-70 employees for our Automotive Body customers.

Your Profile:

  • You have experience and knowledge in operating robots. Preferably ABB and Fanuc, Kuka and Yaskawa are a plus. You apply this experience in practice to optimize robot paths;
  • You have knowledge and experience of equipment applied in joining techniques (for example: resistance welding, MIG/MAG welding, laser welding, gluing, riveting, stapling, flow-drilling)
  • You are analytically strong, can work independently and are solution-oriented;
  • You ensure the welding quality and contribute to the dimensional design;
  • In short: it’s your job to ensure that the welding/joining quality we promise to our customers up front will be realized in the field.

Your profile?

  • You have proven experience and knowledge in operating robots. Preferably ABB and Fanuc, but Kuka and Yaskawa are a plus. You apply this experience in practice to optimize robot paths;
  • It’s a plus when you have experience and knowledge of equipment used in joining processes (resistance welding, MIG/MAG welding, laser welding, gluing, riveting, stapling, flow-drilling). You use this experience to set the correct parameters for the process;
  • You have no trouble interpreting technical drawings (tolerance structure, shape and location tolerances);
  • You have good communication skills and do not mind having a driving role within the project team or towards the customer;
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English. German is an advantage;
  • Willingness to travel abroad up to 40% on a yearly basis.

What can you expect from us?

AWL offers you excellent development opportunities to continuously grow as a professional.
