As Trading Systems Engineer at Da Vinci, you’ll work closely with a small team of highly skilled traders and engineers. You’ll be responsible for managing our trading systems, making sure they run smoothly in day-to-day operations, with future growth in mind.

As our trading systems are highly customised, balancing stability with ongoing change is one of the key challenges in this job. Our engineers often need to learn on the go, so we are looking for people who enjoy exploring unfamiliar territory.

Da Vinci offers an exciting and dynamic work environment, where employees are given the freedom to come up with great ideas and the space to push these to completion. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be part of a successful and fast-growing company.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee system performance, stability and uptime
  • Automate the environment and testing new technology fads
  • Architect, implement, maintain and monitor our rapidly growing intercontinental production environment
  • Manage not only “what” is running in production, but also “how” these production systems are behaving
  • Address potential failures and bottlenecks before they have the chance to hurt the firm

Requirements:

  • 0-5 years of experience managing mission-critical infrastructure and software support (in a trading environment it’s a plus)
  • Intimate knowledge of networking, hardware and OSs (Windows, Linux)
  • Knowledge of cloud environments is a plus
  • Familiar with tooling and best practices regarding change, life cycle and incident management, as well as health and performance monitoring of production systems
  • Proficient with scripting (e.g., bash, python)
  • Quick at analysing issues and uncovering their root causes
  • Eager to learn and understand all aspects of the trading environment
  • Ability to spot inefficiencies and proactive in optimising systems
  • Strong communications skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience

Benefits:

  • An opportunity to learn from the best in the field
  • Base salary starting at EUR 65k, with possibility to grow quickly
  • Excellent variable pay based on your own and the firm’s performance
  • Outstanding performance is also rewarded with shareholding in the company
  • A relocation package when moving from abroad, including relocation budget, flight coverage, house-finding service and expat support
  • Meals during work hours
  • Social events and after-work drinks
  • Reimbursement of travel costs
  • Sponsored gym membership
  • In-house game room (pool table, board games and console games)
