Compliance Officer

We have a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, organised and self-motivated individual to join our Amsterdam-based Risk and Compliance Team as a Compliance Officer in the second line.

As a Compliance Officer, you will work closely with our lawyers and the different internal departments to pursue excellence in every aspect of our business operations, and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, supervisory requirements, internal policies and procedures.

You will be part of our enthusiastic and fast-growing Risk and Compliance team which includes Compliance, Information Security, Business Compliance, Data Privacy and Risk Management specialists.

Your responsibilities

• Assist the Head Risk and Compliance in second line duties;
• Contribute to design, implement and manage the Compliance program and year plan in close co-operation with Head Risk and Compliance;
• Conduct regular assessments and audits to evaluate effectiveness of compliance and identify areas for improvement and mitigating controls;
• Collect and assimilate risk and compliance related data and preparing analysis reports;
• Be a representative and go-to person in several internal projects;
• Act a gatekeeper and ensure that policies and processes are understood and adhere too;
• Assist in development and implementation of processes, policies and procedures related to several risk and compliance topics;
• Signal internal and external developments which could influence our compliance and business integrity such as technology, applicable laws, regulations, supervisory requirements and social developments.

About you

Between 3 - 5 years of working experience as a compliance professional in the legal or financial industry;

• Enthusiastic and excellent communication skills;
• Fast learner, self-organized and well-structured; and
• Pro-active, hands-on with an optimistic problem-solving can-do mentality.
