A career within Delivering Deal Value will provide you with the opportunity to help clients achieve maximum value on their deal transactions by solving transformational and other complex challenges. We focus on all operational aspects of a transaction, pre and post completion. We conduct pre deal and confirmatory due diligence, execute large-scale enterprise wide integrations, and support complex divestitures and separations on a wide range of functional and cross-functional areas.

Your job

As a ‘Finance Excellence in Deals’ Consultant, you will work in a dedicated team, focusing on creating value through enhancing the finance function in transactions (i.e. mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and operational restructuring).

You will work in diverse/international teams for clients that are large national companies, multinationals and/or private equity houses. Our Delivering Deal Value (DDV) team focuses on providing support for transactions and assists clients in all operational aspects of the transaction, pre and post completion.

In your role of ‘Finance Excellent in Deals’ Consultant, you will advise our clients in all their finance management related challenges in transactions; such as the (target) operating model, taking control, consolidation, closing reporting, 100 day planning, synergy development and tracking, and post-acquisition performance improvement.

Your responsibilities might include financial modelling and quantitative analysis, using benchmarking and process mapping techniques, workshops, and you will (re)design the target operating model, processes & procedures, and/or configure applications to support the client’s financial needs and to improve the finance function.

Furthermore, you will conduct business development activities including identification and targeting of potential opportunities. Liaising with multiple stakeholders, both external and internal. Preparation of client presentations, pitch documents and industry specific research.

In addition to your technical work, you’ll regularly interact with a range of clients. You’ll need strong communication skills and the flexibility to adapt when you find yourself in different environments.

In this job you will:

  • analyse our client’s financial past and projected performance and perform company benchmarking
  • conduct assessments of financial processes, procedures and risks
  • advise on needed changes in our client’s financial processes, procedures, organisation and technology
  • define and implement future management reporting for our clients
  • provide mergers & acquisitions (pre and post deal) support
  • advise on value creation opportunities

Your profile

  • You have proven finance function expertise and experience
  • You have a keen interest in (merger, acquisition, divestiture, restructuring) transactions
  • You have outstanding analytical skills combined with a client-oriented focus
  • You are a dedicated and flexible team player who will not settle for less than excellence in whatever you do
  • You are assertive, open-minded, enthusiastic, and flexible
  • You are dynamic and have strong business writing and presentation skills
  • You have excellent skills in English (both oral and written) and preferably Dutch
  • Proficiency in common business tools (e.g. financial software application packages, business modeling, process mapping tools and data analyses) is an asset

Your educational background

  • You have a completed Master in Finance, (Business) Economics, Accounting & Control, Business Administration or comparable finance-related studies
  • Combined above-average study results with extracurricular activities
