What will you be doing?

As a seasoned project planner, you will provide visionary leadership in defining decision moments and turnaround times for a diverse range of stakeholders. Through your expertise in project planning and management, you will develop a comprehensive project plan that proactively identifies and manages opportunities and threats, enabling project managers, project leaders, and subcontractors to make informed and timely decisions. Your strategic guidance and expertise will be instrumental in ensuring project success, as you take a central role in the planning and execution of projects across the Airports and Parcels Operations Team.

You will be responsible for overseeing projects at the Warehousing Customer Center and executing a multidisciplinary approach to resolve complex problems. Your extensive experience in all phases of a project, including engineering, supply and shipping, and commissioning, positions you as a subject matter expert in the field. Working in close collaboration with sales, project management, project engineering, and the supply chain, you will be the primary liaison between project management and the supply chain, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Your unwavering commitment to excellence and ability to navigate complex project landscapes will ensure that projects are completed successfully, positioning you as a true leader in your field.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively translating the scope of a project into an overall project plan;

  • Identifying the critical path in a project plan and the corresponding opportunities and risks

  • Coordinating a project plan with the customer and subcontractors, so that an integrated project plan is achieved;

  • Liaising with all of the internal and external parties involved in a project;

  • Reporting on the progress being made with a project to the relevant Project Manager;

  • Analysing and giving solicited and unsolicited advice on overall project plans;

  • Preparing complex plans in consultation with project team members, subcontractors, suppliers, customers and stakeholders;

  • Producing two-weekly or monthly project progress reports;

  • If required, promptly delivering a detailed plan to internal stakeholders;

  • Producing what-if analyses and alternative project plans;

  • Act as a mentor for unexperienced colleagues;

  • Preparing improvement proposals in relation to a project plan.

What do we ask from you?

  • Bachelor or Master degree or working experience on a bachelor level;

  • Experience with working in a project organization;

  • Experience with planning activities;

  • Preferably knowledge of the Primavera and/or MS Project programs is an advantage;

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise at different levels. You have the ability to involve people and to convince them of the importance of sharing and receiving information in order to identify and maintain common project interests;

  • Strong Excel skills;

  • You will have the ability to work under (time) pressure and set priorities appropriately;

  • Good understanding of the Dutch language (verbal and written);

  • You will be flexible and creative.
