Assistant Financial Controller

You are a (assistant) financial controller, who aspires to become a Business Controller in the future, or perhaps you already have experience as a Business Controller. Furthermore you are responsible for correct financial results. At Deloitte.

What impact will you make?

Ensuring that the financial results are accurate and correct (compliant), so that analyses and advice prepared in-house and/or in cooperation with the business controller and GFS contribute to insights for management to improve performance.

How do you do this?

• Creating business-transcending (ad hoc) reports with high-quality analyses and advice;
• building a strong relationship with Business controllers;
• advising management and key stakeholders, in the absence of the Business controllers, on financial processes;
• acting as an intermediary between GFS and Business control with the aim of having reporting and analyses performed as much as possible from within GFS;
• motivating stakeholders to adopt a working method that is as compliant as possible in accordance with legislation and regulations
• supporting the planning and forecasting processes;
• monitoring the business financials (cost accounting/controlling) to ensure that the audit proceeds smoothly;
• participating in or leading (finance) projects with the aim of realising process improvements.

With your strong communication, advisory and persuasive skills, you know how to build strong relationships in no time. You have an eye for detail and are strong in project and stakeholder management. Furthermore, for the vacancy of (Assistant) Financial Controller you have

• A completed university or bachelor's degree in Finance (Business Economics/Accountancy) preferably in RA or RC track;
• a minimum of 1 - 4 years of relevant work experience in a management accounting or controller position
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office. Tableau and SAP are an advantage;
• Excellent command of the English and Dutch languages;
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations. IFRS knowledge is an advantage.
