Job Description & Summary

PwC Honours Master Class of academic year ‘26-27

The Honours Master Class

The Honours Master Class is a valuable addition for students of the master Accounting, Auditing and Control at Erasmus University, faculty ESE. It is characterized by a unique combination of theory and practice in accounting. The program is developed in close cooperation with the academic staff of ESE and PwC. It includes significant interaction with the business community through projects with practitioners, a company visit, internship opportunities and social events. Being an Honours Master student will not only give you great insights into practice, but also provide you with a competitive edge to your resume and a jumpstart to your professional career.

Curriculum

As an Honours Master student, you will attend the core curriculum in a special Honours Master Class, enhancing the class experience. The core courses, seminars, and a master’s thesis are distributed over five blocks of eight weeks. The curriculum is continuously updated to incorporate developments in the field and the demands of professional organizations.

In addition to the core curriculum, PwC will organize numerous extracurricular activities, including five/six workshops hosted by practitioners (three hours during the day each), six/seven social events (in evening hours), one lunch with your PwC coach and one company visit to a PwC client (half a day). The highlight of the year is a Business Game abroad to a surprise destination, which will take place from October 30th to November 1st. It is mandatory to attend the Business Game. All of these events are organized in consultation with ESE so there are no conflicts with your study schedule. You will be awarded a Certificate upon completing the Class.

Entry requirements

Students who want to apply for the Honours Master Class have to be enrolled and accepted for the MSc in Accounting, Auditing and Control at ESE. Furthermore, it is your responsibility to attend 90% of the hosted events. No preparation is required for the events.
