Join ING’s Works Council Support team as an intern and help support one of the most important parts of the organization. Together with your colleagues, you help the works council members do their work as efficiently and effectively as possible, while also playing a large role in organizing events.

Works Council Support

If you can call one part of ING its heart, it is the works councils. All important changes within the organization are discussed here. Together with your colleagues you help the heart of ING, the works council members, to do their work most efficiently and effectively. You also play a large role in organizing events.

Start Date & Duration

To be discussed (minimum of 6 months), preferably from June 2026 until February 2027. Minimum availability of 4 days a week.

The Team

You will be part of the Works Council Support team consisting of two colleagues. The team works completely agile and will include you in and teach you that way of working. You will actively collaborate with stakeholders inside and outside of the works councils. Teamwork beyond the scope of this team is necessary for success in this role.

Role & Responsibilities

The day-to-day support of the Works Council is a big and important part of your work. These activities are diverse, ranging from organizing events for more than 60 people to administrative work such as publishing documents and working on communications for all employees within ING NL. In all your work, you are the linking pin between the many different stakeholders and are responsible for making sure everyone works in a uniform way. Your colleagues at Works Council Support will help you at each step of the way.

Contacts, Guidance, Support and Meetings

Your primary contacts will be your two WCS colleagues. They will provide you with guidance throughout your internship, including regular feedback sessions and opportunities for training in agile working methods and stakeholder management. You will participate in regular agile ceremonies with the team, such as daily standups (to align on daily tasks), sprint reviews (to assess progress and outcomes), sprint planning (to establish goals for upcoming work), and sprint retros (to reflect on team performance and identify areas for improvement). These meetings will give you practical insights into agile teamwork and help you develop essential collaboration and organizational skills.
