SHV Procurement is seeking a key member of the SHV Procurement team. The Manager Procurement Excellence is accountable for designing and executing the Procurement Excellence roadmap, in close collaboration with the Corporate Procurement Director. The key mission of the position is to boost procurement capability whilst reducing complexity and risk.

The role includes leading the execution of multiple improvement and transformation projects, program management, performance reporting and strengthening community building across the SHV Groups.

Key stakeholders include Procurement leads within the Groups, CFOs, Functional Directors at Holdings, Category managers and Procurement Excellence managers across the Groups, and some C-level stakeholders where relevant.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drive continuous improvement

  • Continuously drive the (indirect) procurement transformation roadmap in collaboration with the Groups
  • Manage (digital) procurement strategy development project for SHV Head Office
  • Drive data and analytics roadmaps improvement in order to enable delivering actionable insights to the organizations

2. Lead Process & Governance Improvements

  • Devise a structured procurement methodology to be implemented cross-Group, ensuring effectiveness of processes and tools in collaboration with other relevant departments e.g. Finance, IT
  • Develop and govern procurement policies, tools and methodologies: drive execution of the procurement guidelines, monitor risk and gaps in procurement processes and manage corrective actions
  • Monitor KPIs, audits, risks and ensure continuous improvement
  • Co-develop tools for reporting (spend analyses, KPIs etc) which are aligned across the Groups to reduce procurement complexity
  • Continuously manage and monitor procurement ‘toolbox’ availability of templates, policies, contracts etc.

3. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Act as ambassador for Procurement Excellence
  • Create clear communications for all organizational levels

4. People & Capability Development

  • Drive procurement capability improvement cross-group. Manage and drive continuous improvement of the procurement training academy
  • Establish communities of practice and share best practices
  • Train teams on processes, tools and systems

Profile – Ideal Candidate

This role suits an experienced procurement professional who can influence at senior levels, lead change, and enable procurement maturity across a decentralized multinational organization.

  • At least 8 years of procurement (consultancy) experience with solid knowhow of procurement processes and digitization
  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics or other connected discipline
  • Experienced in working in international, corporate settings and exposure to decentralized or matrix organizations
  • Proven success in leading effective cross-functional/BU/country teams and influencing senior complex contexts, which includes understanding C-level expectations and communication
  • Established experience and network with recent technology and developments in procurement tools, strong affinity with data & analytics
  • Strong project and program management skills; proven project manager capabilities
  • Up-to-date AI for procurement know-how and application in procurement processes
  • Some commercial experience and/or demonstrable commercial skills
  • Fluency in English; Dutch is an advantage
