Microsoft 365 Platform Engineer

At ABN AMRO we are continuously expanding the Microsoft 365 (M365) platform to support business users in various areas based on their use cases, requirements and expectations. As we accelerate on this journey, we require clear architecture, well defined solutions and clear insight of the required operational governance to support the development and use of our platform. As an M365 platform team we are end-to-end responsible for supporting the development, growth of the platform and the platform governance.

Your job

Within the M365 DevOps team, you are an overall M365 specialist with extensive knowledge about the M365 platform, platform automation and a proven track record in executing complex implementations, following architectural decisions and supporting team members. Your work can result into connecting with other teams responsible for other products to ensure seamless integration, align cross-functional objectives and support end-to-end solutions that leverage the full potential of the M365 ecosystem. As a technical specialist, you are an assertive team player and you are comfortable with describing rational decisions and can present these to other members of the team.

Working environment

The M365 DevOps team operates within the Digital Workplace Grid which is a component of the Platforms and Technology department. Digital Workplace is responsible for the Modern Digital Workplace within ABN AMRO supporting 30.000+ employees. We operate from the Netherlands, have team members in India and have our business users both inside and outside the Netherlands.

Your profile

You are a technical specialist and assertive team player who is comfortable explaining rational decisions and presenting these to team members and stakeholders such as solution architects, management, IT specialists and business users. On top of that, you recognize yourself in the following:

• Solid enterprise experience: minimum of 5 years of IT experience within large and/or complex enterprise organizations.
• Advanced Microsoft 365 platform expertise: deep knowledge of the M365 platform, including core products such as Outlook, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint Online, at administrator level.
• Security, compliance & identity knowledge: advanced understanding of the M365 E5 Security and Compliance features (including Purview), Entra ID, and Identity & Access Management concepts.
• Automation & Copilot capabilities: technical knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot, automation using PowerShell, and Azure pipelines.
• Governance & licensing insight: general understanding of Microsoft 365 licensing models and provisioning guidelines.
