At Itility, we design, build and operate EDA environments for customers where silicon design, performance and reliability are critical. These are environments where toolchains are complex, workloads heavy, licenses scarce, and downtime is not an option.
We are looking for an EDA Platform Engineer who understands what it takes to run EDA environments in practice and who helps us further professionalize and scale these environments across our customers.
Your role
As an EDA Platform Engineer, you are responsible for the technical foundation of multiple EDA environments. You work on Linux-based systems that support digital and analog design flows, verification, simulation and synthesis. You help define how EDA environments are built, configured and operated, and you apply that knowledge directly in customer teams.
You are involved both in platform development (how we standardise and automate EDA environments) and day-to-day operation at customers.
This is a hands-on engineering role, close to the tools, the workloads and the engineers.
What you will do
Build, configure and maintain Linux-based EDA environments
Install, manage and support EDA toolchains (e.g. simulation, synthesis, verification, P&R)
Manage and troubleshoot license servers and license usage
Support compute-intensive workloads (batch, distributed, queue-based execution)
Work with engineers to understand design flows and usage patterns
Diagnose and resolve performance, stability and scalability issues
Improve reproducibility of environments (tool versions, configs, dependencies)
Automate setup, provisioning and operational tasks where possible
Help define standards and best practices for EDA environments across customers
This is you
Strong, hands-on experience with Linux (mandatory)
Experience running or supporting EDA environments or similar compute-heavy engineering platforms
Familiarity with EDA toolchains and workflows
License management concepts (floating licenses, peak usage, contention)
HPC or high-throughput compute environments
AWS and/or Azure setup
Comfortable working close to hardware designers and understanding how tools are actually used
Pragmatic, structured and operationally minded
Able to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams
Good communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus)
You will have the space to develop yourself in the best possible way. Through our own Itility Academy, you can follow various training programs to further develop both your technical and soft skills.
In addition to a competitive salary, you will receive extra benefits such as:
26 days of annual leave
€115 monthly expense allowance
Company car with fuel card or mobility allowance plus mileage reimbursement
50% contribution to health insurance
60% contribution to the pension scheme
Bonus based on your personal development and shared successes
Laptop and phone
Itility Academy – training in both hard and soft skills
Hybrid working
Access to the on-site gym
