At a glance

You help ABN AMRO turn regulatory findings into clear, workable improvements in the credit domain. With a helicopter view, you connect people, data and requirements. You bring structure, ask the right questions and keep progress moving. This junior role gives you space to learn, explore different specialisms within credit risk and regulation, and grow step by step into an expert role. You work closely with colleagues across the bank and help ensure that regulatory expectations translate into sustainable, client-focused credit processes.

Your job

You work on regulatory and audit findings in the credit domain and help move them from insight to resolution. With an overview of the full picture, you bring different stakeholders together and make sure information, decisions and actions align. You translate regulatory requirements into practical steps and help teams understand what is needed and why. You balance short-term improvements with longer-term solutions and keep an eye on deadlines, dependencies and data quality.

You also:

  • Analyse regulatory and audit findings and clarify regulatory intent
  • Coordinate input from multiple departments to complete and validate data
  • Support root cause analysis across credit risk processes
  • Track actions, milestones and external deadlines
  • Contribute to internal and external progress reporting

Working environment

You join the Credit Transformation Office (CTO), part of Financing Solutions’ Lending Transformation. CTO works on change across the entire credit lifecycle, including future credit processes, regulatory initiatives and improvements driven by audit or supervision. You work in a diverse team of around 30 colleagues with backgrounds in risk, regulation, lending and change. The team values collaboration, openness and learning. You work mainly from the Amsterdam office and combine this with flexible hybrid working. CTO works closely with risk, business and support teams across the bank and advises senior stakeholders on priorities and choices.

Your profile

You enjoy connecting people and perspectives and feel comfortable working with uncertainty. You keep overview while working with details and communicate clearly and calmly. You listen well, ask thoughtful questions and adapt your style to different stakeholders. You like learning and want to explore where your strengths fit best within the credit and regulatory domain. You take ownership of your work and contribute to shared goals in a supportive, professional way.

You have:

  • At least 3 years of experience in banking, financial services or a regulatory environment
  • Knowledge of credit risk regulations and internal bank policies
  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into clear actions
  • Experience with stakeholder management in complex organisations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • A solid understanding of risk ownership and first-line responsibilities
  • Interest in credit processes, regulatory change and continuous improvement

If you don't meet all of the above mentioned requirements, but you do possess a strong drive to succeed, we encourage you to apply and showcase your motivation for the position in your letter.
