As a Social Sustainability Specialist, you will contribute across a range of social topics, with a key focus on strengthening FrieslandCampina’s commitment to respect and support human rights throughout our own operations and value chain. You will help embed ethical and responsible practices, support a safe and healthy work environment, ensure alignment with relevant social regulations, and advance Human Rights initiatives at global, regional, and local levels.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong foundation in human rights who can bring subject-matter expertise - while also being curious and eager to grow across the broader Social Sustainability agenda.

As part of the Global Human Resource Work & Health team, you will work on global initiatives alongside experts and a diverse capability pool - contributing to Human Rights priorities and other social sustainability projects around the world.

Ce que nous demandons

  • A completed degree in Human Rights-related studies, HR, Law, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Psychology, or Sustainability, combined with at least three years of relevant experience
  • A solid background in human rights, demonstrated through relevant experience or education (e.g. a degree or specialisation in human rights)
  • Experience with ESG and/or sustainability; DE&I and human rights due diligence is a plus
  • Proven experience in Business and Human Rights
  • Experience with project management and stakeholder management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to translate complex and legal documentation into clear, actionable business guidance
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English and strong preference for a Dutch-speaking candidate

Ce que nous offrons

You will work in an informal and friendly environment, collaborating with passionate professionals. You will have access to training and coaching to support your professional growth, and internal career development opportunities are actively encouraged. With trust and autonomy, you will have the chance to create lasting impact.

  • Flexible working hours, hybrid working, plus either a train pass or a travel allowance of €0.23 per km (up to 30 km one way)
  • 200 hours of annual leave, the option to buy or sell 40 extra hours, and 8% holiday allowance
  • Free milk & cheese during lunch and delicious barista coffee at our headquarters

Description du poste vacant

This role sits within our Capability Pool, offering the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of initiatives across our Social Sustainability agenda. In practice, you will work on multiple topics in parallel, collaborating with global and regional stakeholders to turn priorities into practical delivery.

  • Act as a subject-matter expert on human rights and the other social sustainability topics, advising stakeholders across the business, HR, procurement, internal audit, and ethics & compliance
  • Use insights from our Human Rights Risk Assessments to define practical improvements and lead risk-mitigation actions in the value chain
  • Design and facilitate learning sessions on human rights and the other social sustainability topics to build awareness and capability
  • Translate theory and international guidelines into practical solutions throughout the value chain
  • Draft and coordinate key reporting and documentation that evidences our social responsibility commitments (e.g., Modern Slavery Statement and CSRD disclosures in the Annual Report)
  • Translate data and insights into clear gap analyses and recommendations, enabling data-driven decisions and constructive business dialogue
  • Monitor emerging trends, legislation, and best practices in human rights and social sustainability, and translate them into implications for the business
  • Co-create and deliver projects that advance our Social Sustainability agenda (e.g., implementing a global inclusive parental leave policy)
  • Support external partnerships linked to our Human Rights and wellbeing programmes, helping to align goals and deliver impact
