Job opportunity description

The current vacancy is in the Protection Of Public Spaces (PPS) project of the Transport and Border Security Unit, in the Directorate for Societal Resilience and Security.

Within the Unit, the PPS project conducts research on the protection of public spaces against explosions, vehicle ramming, derailing and other malicious acts. It is involved in the policy cycle of the European Security Union through close cooperation with scientific networks and policy DGs, publication of guidance material, and participation in the standardization process of security products.

The job we propose is as a scientific technical officer who will conduct research in security and protection of public spaces from terrorist attacks, with particular emphasis on development of tools and methods.
