Are you a senior engineer who thrives at the intersection of data, analytics, and security? Do you enjoy building robust data solutions using Databricks, SQL, Python, and JavaScript, and turning complex datasets into reliable insights that drive decision making? And do you have affinity with platforms like ServiceNow, or are you curious to deepen your knowledge there? If so, this role offers a unique opportunity to make real impact at scale.

What you are going to do

In this role as Senior Engineer Data Analytics Platform, you will help shape the backbone of NN’s security, risk, and compliance insights. You build the data foundations that allow thousands of colleagues to make informed decisions—combining engineering craftsmanship with a sharp eye for data quality, reliability, and usability.

In this role, you turn complex datasets into meaningful, actionable insights by developing scalable pipelines, models, and applications using Databricks, SQL, Python, and JavaScript. You take ownership of our custom IT control & security data application—ensuring robust lineage, smooth integrations, and a seamless experience for both technical and business stakeholders.

You will also play a key role in bringing data from platforms like ServiceNow into the analytics ecosystem, building reusable services and enabling end‑to‑end security and compliance processes. Along the way, you collaborate with security experts, engineers, and platform teams across NN, and you help set the technical direction that keeps our data services scalable, maintainable, and impactful.

Your core responsibilities

  • Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, models, and applications on the Data Analytics Platform
  • Owning and improving the IT control & security data application, ensuring data quality and reliability
  • Integrating datasets from enterprise platforms like ServiceNow into the analytics ecosystem
  • Enabling reporting and analytics for security, risk, and compliance stakeholders across NN
  • Contributing to technical standards, coaching team members, and strengthening engineering practices

What we offer you

  • 13th month and holiday allowance are paid with your monthly salary
  • 27 vacation days for a 5-day working week
  • A modern pension administered by BeFrank
  • Plenty of training and learning opportunities
  • NS Business Card 2nd class, which gives you unlimited travel, also privately. Do you prefer to travel with your own transport? Then you can declare the kilometers travelled
  • Allowances for setting up your home office and for internet use

We work hybrid at NN. Together with your team, you decide where, how and when you work.

Who you are

You seek understanding in what drives others, are comfortable receiving and providing feedback and you think in solutions.
You are a good communicator, and cooperative in and outside the team. Able to teach/coach other team members in their development. You are curious and possess good conceptual thinking skills.

Technically, you have:

  • Hands-on experience as a data engineer with solid knowledge of SQL, Databricks, PowerBI, Python, PySpark and JavaScript
  • Experience as a data analyst
  • Experience with building, testing and maintaining apps and integrations
  • Experience in working on the ServiceNow Platform including ServiceNow Security Operations and/or ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management
  • Domain knowledge in information security, compliance and risk management

Who you will work with

You will join the Security Tooling team consisting of six young and eager professionals, each with technical or functional expertise, and always seeking the latest developments. You will be responsible for the technology behind our security and control automation solutions. This is crucial because the success of your product depends on successful promotion and actual usage by your colleagues. You will also work closely with security architects, security experts, and other data analysts, exchanging a lot of knowledge. So basically you will be all over the company with a lot autonomy.

It is a job full of challenges and dynamism. We play a crucial role to keep NN-Group secure. But we also value being able to blow off steam and do fun things together.
