As an Implementation Manager, Risk Strategy, you will play a key role within our Financial Services team, helping ensure that our products, processes, and operational strategies scale safely and efficiently. You’ll partner with teams across Risk, Product, Engineering, Audit, and Data to improve how we manage risk, launch new capabilities, and support our merchants.

Your mission

Our purpose is to enable an exceptional merchant experience by ensuring that new products and feature updates are supported by robust risk assessments and scalable operational processes.

You will help Financial Services Operations become more efficient and resilient by:

  • Streamlining cross-functional processes to support strategic initiatives
  • Researching and implementing improvements across Financial Services operations
  • Driving automation and centralizing tooling where possible
  • Preventing risk and compliance issues when new features or products launch
  • Ensuring teams have reliable data to make decisions and detect trends
  • Building strong, collaborative partnerships across teams and with external stakeholders

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you’ll act as a strategic operator at the heart of our Financial Services organization. You will identify operational challenges, design solutions, and lead high-impact initiatives from discovery through implementation.

You’ll work closely with leaders and teams across Risk Operations, Product & Technology, Business Transformation, and Financial Services Operations to deliver meaningful improvements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading strategic initiatives that improve risk management, operational efficiency, and tooling across Payments and Capital products
  • Conducting risk assessments for new products and feature updates
  • Translating complex operational challenges into clear, scalable solutions
  • Building business cases and defining project scopes for strategic improvements
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to align on timelines, resources, and delivery plans
  • Driving initiatives from problem identification to implementation and successful handover to operational teams
  • Producing high-quality documentation, guidance, and analysis to support operational improvements
  • Conducting research, stakeholder interviews, and user shadowing to identify process improvements
  • Monitoring operational performance and proactively identifying areas for improvement
  • Communicating insights and recommendations clearly through presentations, data analysis, visualizations, and documentation

What you need to bring

We’re looking for a strategic thinker with strong operational expertise and the ability to drive cross-functional change in complex environments.

You likely have:

  • Proven leadership experience in a fintech, retail, ecommerce, or hospitality SaaS environment
  • Experience launching or significantly improving products or internal operational processes
  • Relevant experience in Payments and Capital operations
  • A strong track record of leading cross-functional initiatives from discovery through implementation
  • The ability to translate business problems into structured, actionable solutions
  • A deep understanding of operational risk, compliance, and customer experience considerations
  • Knowledge of fraud prevention, compliance, and anti-money laundering best practices
  • Familiarity with operational tooling such as case management systems, workflow automation platforms, or data tools (e.g., SQL, Looker)
