About this role

ING’s ambition is to become Europe’s leading mobile bank. Within the Tribe Growth, we use data and customer insights to continuously improve our services and align them with what customers truly need. We make ING increasingly customer-centric and ensure that data plays a central role in our decisions and strategies.

With a team of over 70 data analysts and data scientists, we work on smart solutions that directly contribute to customer value. This includes analyzing customer behavior, improving our digital channels, and developing new data-driven products.

We work in multidisciplinary teams, both within our own tribe and across other tribes within ING Netherlands. Each year, we determine together where your talents can best be applied. You may work on the same topic or product group for several years, but you’ll also have the opportunity to accelerate your growth by taking on new challenges.

What you’ll do

We’re looking for a passionate data analyst to strengthen our team. You’ll analyze customer behavior and translate it into actionable insights, improvement proposals, and campaign selections.

  • You are driven by data and believe in making decisions based on facts and insights.
  • You create impactful customer interactions by designing targeted campaign selections that match customer needs.
  • You have a broad interest in data—from collecting and analyzing to experimenting and visualizing.
  • You develop reports that provide insights into your team’s key KPIs and support data-driven decision-making.
  • You proactively support stakeholders by identifying opportunities and proposing improvements based on data.
  • You translate complex business questions into clear analyses and actionable insights.
  • You have experience with data analysis in a large organization, preferably in the financial sector.
  • You actively contribute to strengthening ING’s fact-based culture by sharing knowledge and continuously improving.

Do you have a passion for data and want to make an impact?

Do you enjoy solving problems and want to develop yourself further? Then we’re looking for you!

Your skills and experience

  • A Master’s degree in analytics, mathematics, or econometrics.
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in analytics.
  • Proven experience with SQL (SAS and/or Python are a plus)
  • Experience with visualization and dashboarding tools (e.g., Cognos, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in conducting complex analyses.
  • Ability to transform data into insights and present them in a clear and understandable way.
  • A hands-on mentality; you learn quickly and apply new techniques with ease.
  • Customer-oriented mindset.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, working effectively with data specialists, marketers, or risk colleagues.
  • You actively seek feedback and are comfortable giving it.
  • Experience with agile ways of working is a plus.

What we offer

You’ll have the opportunity to work in a modern agile organization with smart and friendly colleagues, and many opportunities to develop both your technical and personal skills.

Every three weeks, our team of 70 data analysts comes together to learn from and with each other.

Benefits

  • A competitive salary aligned with your skills and experience.
  • 24–27 vacation days depending on your contract.
  • A 13th-month salary and 8% holiday allowance.
  • Individual Savings Contribution (BIS), 3.5% of your gross annual salary.
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid working options.
  • A mobility card: choose your mode of transport for commuting each day, with free public transport on weekends.
  • A pension plan.
  • Personal growth opportunities and challenging work with endless possibilities.
  • An informal working environment with a diverse group of innovative colleagues.
