We are looking for a senior employee for our Finance Business Advice department. In Finance, we are looking for people with a talent for taking ownership and making it happen, an enthusiasm for helping others to be successful and a capability for always being a step ahead. In return, we offer personal growth & challenging work, an open and dynamic environment and a progressive and forward-looking mentality.

Finance Business Advisor - Consultant

The team:

Our Finance Business Advice department is a management accounting department with a strong focus on advice. We act as the financial conscience via the role of business partner for all departments within ING in the Netherlands. Currently, we are looking for a financial business partner in the Support Functions team, where you will focus on two domains: the Corporate Real Estate and Facility Services domain (CREFS) and HR. The scope of the CREFS department is the physical footprint of ING in the Netherlands. This includes our head offices and branch network, along with everything that keeps these locations running, from maintenance to facility services.

Roles and Responsibilities:

You will have your own senior business partners to provide complex analytics and insights into their financial trends and performance. You will give them your independent (strategic) advice on this. In general, you can expect to pursue the following tasks:

  • Deliver financial result presentations, analyses, and advice to stakeholders
  • Ensure high‑quality, accurate, first‑time‑right deliverables
  • Build strong relationships and act as a trusted advisor to business leaders
  • Support strategic decision‑making with clear financial and business analyses
  • Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and forward‑looking financial plans
  • Analyse actuals, identify insights, and recommend actions
  • Challenge and align with stakeholders on financial developments
  • Participate actively in the FBA team and cross‑department projects (e.g., cost allocation)
  • Identify process efficiencies and enhance business‑relevant insights

How To Succeed:

  • Master’s degree in Finance or related studies
  • Strong interest in banking and market developments
  • Experience in financial advisory, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Able to translate complex data into clear advice
  • Experience advising senior management
  • Strong analytical and communication skills (English required; Dutch is a plus)
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Client‑focused, proactive, and innovative

Furthermore, you adhere to the ING values, and it is evident to you that your behaviour is fully aligned with these values.
