About this role:

As part of the country sales management team, you will own and deliver the grocery and convenience KPI’s and manage a team of (Sr.) Strategic Account Managers. While our roots lie in food service, your mission is to pivot and accelerate our footprint in the Dutch retail landscape. You will manage and develop high-stakes partnerships with major grocery, convenience, and non-food players. As Head of Retail, you are both a strategic architect and a negotiator who can open doors at various retailers. In this role, you also align with the Global teams on improvements. This is the ultimate leap for an FMCG professional looking to bridge the gap between traditional retail excellence and the high-speed world of tech. These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

  • Retail Strategy & Pivot: create and own the Retail strategy to transition JET from a food-delivery leader to a retail partner.
  • Procurement Stakeholder Management: navigate complex retail organizations and align with challenging counterparts on the buying/procurement side.
  • Execution Excellence: drive projects focused on operational execution, ensuring a seamless integration between digital orders and physical retail processes.
  • Team Leadership: lead and motivate your team.
  • Global Alignment: cooperate with the Global Retail & Sales Strategy Team (and other teams).

What will you bring to the table?

  • Master's or Bachelor degree with at least 5+ years of experience, specifically within the Dutch Retail/FMCG sector.
  • An active and relevant network within the buying organizations of major Dutch retailers (e.g., Ahold Delhaize, Jumbo, Detailresult).
  • Experience in managing a team.
  • Willing to operate at both operational, tactical and strategic levels if required.
  • Know how to act in an ever-changing environment and complex organisational structure.
  • Understanding of SalesForce is a plus.
  • Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • A customer-focused and innovative outlook, optimising work processes across your job.
  • You keep things simple and are able to move fast.
  • Native-level fluency in Dutch is a hard requirement, alongside high proficiency in English.
