As an MLOps Engineer, you develop the AI and MLOps platform that enables our data scientists to bring models to production faster, smarter and more reliably.

Visible work: You help build our Data Science & AI platform that many of our data scientists and AI engineers use every day. You work on project provisioning, create standard project templates and support the development of agent‑based and AI use cases. This gives your work direct impact on projects in logistics, sorting, customer contact and planning.

Challenge: You work in a dynamic environment where you help shape our new Databricks platform while also supporting our existing AWS solutions. You coordinate the migration, guide teams through the transition and define standards for MLflow, LLMOps and broader MLOps practices. You also explore new Databricks features such as Databricks Apps, Agent Bricks and agent development. This gives you room to experiment, learn and contribute to the future of our AI platform.

As an MLOps Engineer, you help build and run our central Data Science & AI platform. You work on project provisioning flows, Python packages and integrations with Databricks. You create clear, reusable project templates for data science workloads, AI models and agent‑based solutions. These templates help teams start quickly and work in a consistent way.

You play an important role in the migration from AWS‑based solutions to Databricks. You define standards for this migration, support data scientists in their transition and help test, deploy and improve their workloads. You work closely with teams to train them in MLflow, LLMOps and our broader MLOps practices. You also explore how AI coding skills and coding assistants can help our data scientists work faster, cleaner and more reliably.

You join the Data Analytics Services team within the Data Center of Excellence. The team includes MLOps Engineers, Platform Engineers and Solution Consultants. You work closely with them, as well as with the data scientists and AI engineers who use your platform every day. The team works in an open, collaborative and innovative way. Wednesday is our office day, when the team comes together in person to collaborate, share knowledge, and connect. Together, we combine engineering excellence, data expertise, and collaboration to make data and AI innovation accessible across PostNL.

• Salary between €4,588.87 and €6,498.75 gross per month based on 37 hours (32 hours is also possible).

You also recognise yourself in the following:

• You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI or a similar field.
• You have experience with MLOps principles, such as model development, testing, deployment and monitoring.
• You are skilled in Python and version control.
• Preferably, you have AWS CDK and typescript experience.
• You have experience with CI/CD tools, such as GitHub Actions or a similar setup.
• You have worked with a cloud platform, such as AWS and/or Databricks.
