Position Summary: The Regional Sales Director, Kérastase, is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving profitable sales growth, expanding brand presence, and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within their designated zone. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong P&L mindset, a passion for talent development, and a deep understanding of market dynamics and luxury brand management. They will serve as a key industry influencer, ensuring Kérastase maintains its leading position and luxury aesthetic while fostering deep connections within the professional stylist community and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Sales & Business Growth:

  • Drive Profitable Sales Growth: Develop and execute comprehensive regional sales strategies to achieve and exceed aggressive revenue targets, focusing on sustainable and profitable growth.
  • P&L Management: Own and manage the regional P&L, demonstrating financial acumen to optimize expenditures, maximize profitability, and deliver strong ROI.
  • Market Expansion & Network Development: Strategically expand the Kerastase brand network and salon footprint within the zone, identifying and securing high-potential partnerships and distribution opportunities within professional space, ie. Lifetime; Blushington.
  • Market Trend Analysis: Continuously monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to identify new opportunities, address potential gaps, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Referral Programs: Implement and oversee effective referral programs to organically grow the Kérastase client base and strengthen salon partnerships.

2. Leadership & Talent Development:

  • Growing Leaders & Building Bench Talent: Cultivate a high-performing sales team, actively mentoring and developing emerging leaders and building a robust talent pipeline for future growth.
  • Team Optimization: Master the Kérastase compensation plan to effectively guide and empower the sales team to optimize their performance and earning potential.
  • Stylist Community Mentorship: Extend mentorship and development initiatives to the broader professional stylist community, fostering their growth and strengthening their affinity for Kérastase.
  • Drive Behaviors: Instill and reinforce behaviors that align with Kerastase values, fostering a collaborative, results-driven, and client-centric culture.
  • Provide a Great Place to Win: Create an inspiring and supportive work environment where team members feel valued, empowered, and motivated to achieve their best.

3. Brand Management & Education Excellence:

  • Industry Influence & High Visibility: Serve as a prominent industry influencer for Kérastase, engaging in high-visibility activities such as speaking engagements, industry events, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Command Luxury Aesthetic: Ensure strict adherence to and command of Kérastase's luxury merchandising standards and brand aesthetic across all touchpoints within the zone.
  • Drive Education Agenda: Lead and drive the education agenda within the zone for all salon partners, ensuring robust training and skill development that supports sell-out and brand expertise.
  • In-Salon Market Share & Sell-Out Mentality: Focus intensely on growing in-salon market share by building and enforcing a strong sell-out mentality among salon partners, supported by diligent POS reporting accountability.
  • Brand Protection & Diversion Action: Implement brand protection strategies, actively training the team on how to identify and address diversion activities to safeguard Kérastase's brand integrity.
  • Build Brand Love: Cultivate deep brand love and loyalty within the professional community and among consumers through exceptional service, product expertise, and memorable brand experiences.

4. Operational Excellence & Innovation:

  • High-Level Relationships: Develop and nurture strategic, high-level relationships with key stakeholders, salon owners, and industry partners.
  • IT Platform Optimization: Oversee the successful implementation and ongoing optimization of new IT platforms and tools, ensuring seamless adoption and leveraging technology to enhance business operations and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of progressive leadership experience in sales management, preferably within the luxury beauty, prestige retail, or professional salon industry.
  • Proven track record of driving significant profitable sales growth and within budgets.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a passion for developing and mentoring talent.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with comfort in high-visibility speaking engagements.
  • Deep understanding of the professional salon industry, distribution channels, and market dynamics.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region with travel at 70%.
  • Proficiency in excel, power point, systems, sales analytics tools, Microsoft Outlook tools.
