What you will do as Junior Financial Controller

You, along with your colleagues from the Record to Report team, are responsible for the financial control of all Dutch and several International companies of Haskoning. Additionally, you contribute to innovating our financial control process through BlackLine, automation (RPA), and Continuous Monitoring Platform. We are currently implementing Oracle Fusion to replace our current ERP system Unit4 Business World. Oracle Fusion offers us the opportunity to optimize our business operations and standardize our processes globally.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial administration: Ensuring accurate and timely financial administration, including specialized tasks such as intercompany reconciliation, VAT, and WKR.
  • Reporting & analysis: Preparing balance analyses and specifications for monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, and contributing to financial statements using BlackLine.
  • Audit: Providing support during various audits.
  • Process optimization: Identifying and implementing improvements in financial processes.

Where you will work

At Haskoning, you will join an independent, employee-owned international consultancy that combines engineering, design, and consultancy services with software and technology.

At Haskoning, approximately 190 dedicated Finance professionals work across various countries. You will be part of the Record to Report team, a dynamic and international team consisting of approximately 18 financial professionals.

What you bring

You have a background in Finance & Control or Accountancy with a completed HBO or WO degree in Accounting & Control and approximately 1 to 3 years of work experience. You are accurate, proactive, and eager to learn, and you possess project management skills. Additionally, you bring the following:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of financial processes and AO/IC, with strong conceptual and analytical abilities.
  • Affinity with IT systems and Excel, and a drive to improve and make financial processes more efficient.
  • Good planning and organizational skills to meet tight deadlines and set priorities.
  • Fluent in speaking and writing English.
