Financial Controller

As a Financial Controller you are responsible, accurate and work with integrity. You take initiative to improve processes and working procedures along the way, think outside of the box. We are looking for a true team player that is hands-on and has a can-do attitude.

🛠 What you'll be doing

In your job, you’ll have the unique opportunity to streamline controlling processes together with the Finance Team, to ensure that management has the right insights to steer the organization and propose actions to improve. In addition, you will be involved in finance-wide projects to improve our efficiency and reporting. In short, your responsibilities are:

• Generate the Management reporting for Benelux

• Be a Business partner to General Manager and Area Managers

• Manage the NL Finance team

• Support the management team in Spain with financial data

• Manage and coordinate monthly reporting process of Segment/Country/Business Line

• Analyze and steer targets; develop plans for financial growth and cost efficiency

• Support the HR manager in the payroll process

• Be responsible for Cash Management

• Ensure compliance with legal, banking, insurance and statutory obligations, and annual financial statements

• Be the key person for subsidiary audit and handling local auditors including finalizing local annual statements

• Have a full ownership on General ledger and sub ledgers and chart of accounts

• Take ownership of Balance sheet reconciliations (accruals, provisions, etc.)

• Handle tax authorities (VAT, CIT, Salary taxes, etc.)

• Responsible for the accuracy and accounting of our assets

• Monitor internal control & risk management

• Generate ad hoc analysis & projects

✅ We get truly excited if you:

• Have an RA or equivalent (e.g. CA or CPA)

• Have at least 3 years working experience as a Financial Controller or auditor

• Can’t finish until it balances and/or you really understand it

• Are fluent in English

• Like working in a fast-growing hectic environment

• You are based in or close to Amsterdam

• Have an entrepreneurial mindset (creative, problem solver, dedicated, motivated, self-starter)

• Are accustomed to delivering high quality and value pragmatism

• Know how to multitask and prioritize

• Enable continuous improvement of felyx’s processes in our finance operations

• Have experience in working with Netsuite
